What subsidies are available on the French Riviera for electric bikes?
The Toulon Provence Méditerranée (TPM) Metropolis is strengthening its commitment to soft mobility. Starting April 1, 2025, it will implement a new version of its financial aid program for the purchase of electric-assisted bicycles (EAB), available to its residents subject to income conditions.

The table below shows the amounts of aid depending on the type of equipment and household income:

Note: Only one aid is granted per tax household, valid for 8 years. The bike must not be resold before 5 years.
1. Conditions to meet
- Reside in the TPM Metropolis territory.
- Purchase a new, used, or refurbished bike or kit.
- Make the purchase from a professional only.
- Respect the income tax ceiling per share.
- Do not resell the bike before 5 years.
2. How to apply?
Online:
- Gather the necessary documents:
- Purchase invoice
- Latest tax notice
- Proof of address (< 3 months)
- EN15194 certification
- Bank account details (RIB)
- Access the online platform (official link on the metropolis website)
- Track your application online after submission
By mail:
- Download and complete:
- Application form
- Sworn statement
- Aid agreement (2 copies)
- Mobility questionnaire
- Attach all supporting documents
- Send your file to the TPM Metropolis, EAB Service.
You have 6 months after purchase to submit your application.
