Ritmic in Paris: who our partners are and what local subsidies are available

Paris is one of the cities with the most generous subsidies for purchasing an electric bicycle. Find below a summary of the subsidies offered by the city and the region.

Purchase incentives for electric bicycles for Paris residents

If you live in Paris and are considering purchasing an electrically assisted bicycle (e-bike) or a cargo bike, several cumulative financial grants are available to support your transition to more sustainable transportation. The City of Paris offers one grant, while the Île-de-France Region offers another. If you live in Paris, you are probably eligible for both schemes.

1. Grants offered by the City of Paris*

Here is a summary of the grants offered by the City of Paris and the eligibility criteria:

Some grants can be combined with those from Île-de-France Mobilités or the French government (bike bonus, scrappage bonus).

At Ritmic, the Yuvy, Solo, Duo, and Jumbo all belong to the category "Electric-assist cargo bike."

b. Eligibility criteria

Paris City grants are available only if you meet all of the following conditions:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have your primary residence in Paris
  • Have a household income per unit ≤ €10,000 (tax assessment notice required)
  • Have purchased a new or refurbished bicycle or kit (V3R-certified)
  • Not have already received assistance for the same type of equipment
  • The bicycle must:
    • Be EN15194-approved (for electric-assist bicycles)
    • Be marked and registered in the national identification file (APIC)

    c. How do you submit an application?

    1. Log in or create your "Mon Paris" account at eco-mobilite.paris.fr
    2. Fill out the eco-mobility assistance application form
    3. Attach the requested supporting documents: ID, tax assessment notice, bank account details, proof of address, bicycle invoice, certificate of conformity , proof of registration.

    Note: If you purchase your bicycle on our website, we provide the invoice, certificate of conformity, and proof of registration.

    Once your application has been submitted, a response is generally provided within two to three weeks. If approved, the subsidy is paid within four to six months.

    2. Subsidies offered by the Île-de-France Region

    Île-de-France Mobilités also offers subsidies of up to:

    • €400 for an electric-assist bicycle, folding bicycle, or non-assisted cargo bike
    • €600 for an electric cargo bike
    • €200 for an electrification kit
    • €100 for a standard bicycle (ages 15–25)
    • €1,200 for an adapted bicycle (for people with reduced mobility)

    Note: These subsidies are not subject to any income-level criteria.
