Grenoble aid for buying an electric bike
As part of their commitment to sustainable mobility, the Mixed Mobility Syndicate of the Grenoble Area (SMMAG) and Grenoble Alpes Métropole offer financial aid for bike purchases, whether classic or electric. This program, valid until the end of September 2026, aims to encourage residents to adopt more environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
1. Available aid in Grenoble
Aid amounts vary depending on the type of bike and the applicant’s reference tax income per share (RFRPP). Here is an overview of the available aid:

2. Conditions to meet
- Be over 18 years old.
- Reside in the Grenoble Alpes Métropole or Grésivaudan area.
- Have a reference tax income per share (RFRPP) below €22,983, or hold a Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI) marked "disability" or "priority" (no income condition).
Not eligible: mountain bikes, road bikes, electric bikes with lead batteries, and bikes with assistance over 25 km/h.
3. Steps to follow to benefit from the aid
- Get a quote from a partner bike shop.
- Submit the request online at aidevelo.mobilites-m.fr or visit a mobility agency (Grenoble or Crolles).
- Wait for the file to be approved: if complete, a voucher valid for 30 days will be issued.
- Return to the bike shop with this voucher to complete your purchase.
