What aid is available to buy an electric bike in Marseille?
Since November 1, 2024, to support users in this transition, the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis offers financial aid to individuals and professionals wishing to purchase an electric bike. This subsidy is an opportunity to replace car use for short and medium trips.
1. Aid for individuals
Residents of the metropolis can claim the following amounts, with no income conditions :

| Electric cargo bike, longtail, or adapted for disability | Up to €800 |
The Yuvy, Solo, Duo, and Jumbo models from Ritmic are electric cargo bikes.
a. To be eligible, you must:
- Reside in the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis.
- Live, work, or study in the Marseille ZFE.
- Purchase a bike from a professional; private sales are not eligible for this aid.
- Ensure the bike complies with regulations (excluding speed bikes exceeding 25 km/h).
b. Documents to provide for individuals:
- Completed and signed form
- Bank details (RIB) in the applicant’s name
- Valid identity document
- Proof of residence (within the last 3 months) in the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis area
- Proof of work/studies (if residing outside the ZFE)
- Paid invoice of the bike (dated after November 1, 2024)
- FNUCI ID of the bike
- Declaration on honor (kept for at least 2 years)

2. Aid for professionals
Companies and associations can also receive financial support:

| Electric cargo bike | Up to €1,500 |
a. The following private legal entities are eligible:
- Very small enterprises (VSEs) and micro-enterprises with less than 2 million euros in turnover.
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million euros or a total balance sheet not exceeding 43 million euros.
- Associations recognized as being of public utility.
- Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) associations registered by the regional SSE chambers. The official list of eligible organizations is available on ESS France.
b. To benefit from this aid, recipients must:
- Have a registered office, establishment, or branch located in the Marseille Low Emission Zone (ZFE).
- Buy a new or used cargo bike from a professional.
- Respect the limit of 3 cargo bikes per organization.
- Provide the required supporting documents, in accordance with the criteria defined by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis. You can learn more by consulting this document: Annex 1 - Professionals.
c. Documents to provide for professionals:
- Completed and signed form
- Bank details (RIB) in the applicant’s name
- Paid invoice for the cargo bike (dated after November 1, 2024)
- FNUCI identifier
- Declaration on honor (kept for at least 2 years)
