Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole strengthens its commitment to sustainable mobility by offering various financial aids for the acquisition, adaptation, or maintenance of bikes. These programs are aimed at both individuals and professionals, with specific conditions.

2. Conditions to meet
For individuals:
- Reside in one of the municipalities of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
- Be over 18 years old (or have a legal representative if over 16 years old).
- Provide an invoice dated after the program’s launch.
- Commit not to resell the bike for a specified period (usually three years).
For professionals:
- Conduct business within the metropolis.
- Make the purchase from a local store.
- Provide a Kbis extract or a valid employment contract with a local address.
- Only one aid is granted per professional.
3. How to apply?
Procedures vary depending on the type of aid:
For pros (electric cargo bike):
- Purchase a cargo bike from a store located in the metropolis.
- Gather required documents: Kbis extract or employment contract, invoice, proof of address.
- Submit the application via the official Métropole website.
For individuals:
- Adapted bike (€500): Application is made through the Department’s Handi-bike program. The Métropole relies on this instruction to grant the aid.
- Used E-bike / electrification kit (€200): Fill out the online form attaching the invoice, proof of age, and proof of residence.
- Repair (€30): No application is necessary. The aid is directly applied at partner repair shops.
