Electric bike purchase aids in Caen
The City of Caen has implemented a series of financial supports to promote bike use in urban areas. Whether for a classic bike, an electric assistance model, or adapted equipment, different aid options are offered depending on the applicant’s situation (income, age, disability…).
1. List of subsidies
Here is an overview of the available schemes according to the type of bike or equipment:

These aids are granted only once. Additionally, the financed bike must not be resold within one year of purchase.
At Ritmic, the Yuvy, Solo, Duo, and Jumbo models all belong to the category of electric cargo bikes.
2. Eligibility conditions
- Live in Caen (or in the urban community if a supplement is planned)
- Be of legal age.
- Respect a reference tax income ceiling of €15,400 per share (unless otherwise stated)
- Present valid purchase and/or installation invoices
- Not have already benefited from an equivalent scheme
- Buy an approved, unplated bike marked according to standards
3. How to apply?
- Identify the aid you are eligible for based on your profile
- Gather the following documents:
- Identity document
- Proof of residence
- Most recent tax notice
- Equipment invoice
- Disability card (if applicable)
- Access the application form available online at mesdemarches.caen.fr
- If you are applying for multiple aids (e.g., bike + lock), submit only one complete application
- Track the progress of your application from your personal account
Note: For any purchase made on our site, we provide you with the invoice, the approval certificate, and the registration proof.
Processing the application can take up to 3 months. Any incomplete application will be rejected.
