Paris is one of the most generous cities in terms of subsidies for purchasing an electric bike. Below is a summary of the subsidies offered by the city and the region.

Electric bike purchase aids for Paris residents
If you live in Paris and are considering purchasing an electric-assist bike (e-bike) or a cargo bike, know that several financial aids can be combined to support your move towards more sustainable mobility. The City of Paris offers one subsidy, and the Île-de-France Region offers another. If you live in Paris, you are likely eligible for both important programs.
1. Subsidies offered by the City of Paris
Here is a summary of the subsidies offered by the City of Paris along with the eligibility criteria:

It is possible to combine certain aids with those from Île-de-France Mobilités or the State (bike bonus, conversion premium).

b. Eligibility criteria
Paris City aid is only available if you meet all of the following conditions:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have their primary residence in Paris
- Have a taxable income per share (RFR/part) ≤ €10,000 (tax notice required)
- Have purchased a new or refurbished bike or kit (V3R certified)
- Not have already received aid for the same type of equipment
- The bike must:
- Be EN15194 certified (for e-bikes)
- Be registered and recorded in the national identification file (APIC)
c. How to make a request?
- Log in or create your "Mon Paris" account at eco-mobilite.paris.fr
- Fill out the eco-mobility aid form
- Attach the required documents: ID, tax notice, bank details (RIB), proof of address, bike invoice, certification of approval , registration proof.
Note: If you buy your bike on our site, we provide you with the invoice, the certification of approval, and the registration proof.
Once your request is submitted, feedback is usually given within two to three weeks. If approved, the payment of the aid takes place within four to six months.
2. Subsidies offered by the Île-de-France Region
Île-de-France Mobilités also offers subsidies up to:
- €400 for an e-bike, a folding bike, or a cargo bike without assistance
- €600 for an electric cargo bike
- €200 for an electrification kit
- €100 for a classic bike (15-25 years old)
- €1200 for an adapted bike (PMR)
Note: These subsidies are not subject to any income level criteria.
