Fly with your Powerkit
Air travel with lithium battery-powered devices, such as our electric skateboard, is regulated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The current IATA regulations state that personal electronic devices carried by air:
- Must be powered by batteries under 100 W.
- Must have been tested and comply with the UN 38.3 standard. Our batteries meet both of these requirements.
Although IATA regulations are widely regarded as a standard, all airlines also have their own rules. We recommend calling the airline before boarding a flight, especially before international flights. Some customers remove the battery from the board, carry the battery in the cabin, and check the board separately as luggage.
